You are welcome to bring as many friends and family members as you want! We don't limit the number of guests allowed. 

We are able to determine gender of your baby around 14 weeks.  If for any reason we cannot confidently determine your baby's gender during the ultrasound, we offer a complimentary second glimpse ultrasound the following week to confirm gender. 

If you are fewer than 20 weeks pregnant, we recommend that you arrive with a comfortably full bladder. If you over 20 weeks pregnant you do not need to have a full bladder.

The optimal time for scheduling a 4D ultrasound usually falls between weeks 28 and 31 of pregnancy. During this period, your baby has developed enough fat tissue under their skin, making their facial features more visible and defined. The closer you get to baby's due date the more limited their space to move and show their face becomes. Some baby's show their face all the way up to birth!

HYDRATION is extremely important for getting good face ultrasound pictures. Drinking a gallon of water every day for a week prior to your appointment will optimize image quality. Eat a snack about 20 minutes before your appointment to get baby moving. 

We can see a teeny tiny gestational sac during the 5th week of your pregnancy. The heartbeat starts by the middle of your 6th week of pregnancy. We can perform your ultrasound as early as 5 weeks to look for a gestational sac and as late as the day before baby is born. All of our sonographers are registered sonographers and can perform both transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasounds.

We offer live-streaming services over YouTube for free to all of our military families so families can watch live and bond with baby even if they aren't in the room. 

Elective ultrasounds are not covered by insurance. We do offer convenient payment methods including credit card, Apple Pay, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, Cash, Afterpay, and Care Credit. 

All sonographers at Little Peanut 4D Ultrasound are registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers each with over 10 years of experience. The elective ultrasounds at Little Peanut 4D Ultrasound are not diagnostic and are for entertainment purpose only. We do strongly believe anyone providing elective ultrasounds at any elective ultrasound facility needs to be registered, experienced, and trained as a professional Sonographer. Most of the elective imaging facilities in the area do not have registered or experience Sonographers on staff and unfortunately, they are not required to be by law. 

On rare occasions our registered Sonographers do see abnormalities. We are not your medical provider so we may ask you who your provider is so we can alert them to concerns. We have an 'incidental finding" paper we complete and fax to your medial provider overseeing your care. You will typically be notified by your Sonographer we will be sending this incidental finding paper to your medical provider so you can contact them directly. This "incidental findings" paper is not part of your medical records and are at the discretion of your medical provider to discuss and disclose with you. If there is an immediate medical emergency and your provider is not able to be reached, you will be notified to seek medical care through the emergency room.
